Avalon Open House
Sunday, May 6 2pm – 4pm
Bring the family to Avalon’s Open House and meet our tennis pro, Sean Reynolds, along with our swim and dive coaches. Information on membership, tennis, swimming, socials and Gator Camp will be provided and most importantly ice cream and other refreshments for the whole family. Pre-order spirit wear, swim suits and goggles, too! This social is a great opportunity to introduce your friends and neighbors to Avalon. Adult Social
Friday, May 18 6:30pm – 11pm
This adult-only event celebrates the beginning of summer at Avalon. Catered meal includes BBQ, chicken, sides, salad and beer and wine. Main Street Station Band RVA is the evening’s entertainment. Open to all adult members and their friends. Reservations are required by Monday, May 8, 2017. $25 per person. Pool is closed. Look for your Evite coming soon!

Middle School Social
Wednesday, June 20 7pm – 9pm
Let’s kick-off the summer right! Come and enjoy pizza and drinks while we play games in the pool and win fun prizes. Avalon members and guests are invited. $5 per person includes pizza and drinks. Guest fees waived for this event. Reservations are required by noon on Wednesday, June 20. Make your reservation in the pool office.
Thirsty Friday & Trivia Night

Ladies Night Out

This adult-only event is for all the great ladies of Avalon! Come socialize while enjoying wonderful appetizers and drinks by the pool. Open to all members and their friends. Reservations are required by Tuesday, June 27. $20 per person. POOL IS CLOSED.
July 4th Parade & Cookout
Wednesday, July 4 12pm – 4pm
Come at noon and enjoy watching children 10 years and younger as they “parade” around the pool decorated in their 4th of July finest! All participants win a prize. The grill will fire up around noon serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and a drink for $5 a plate. Pool games by the pool in the afternoon.

Sit by the pool and watch a movie with your family and friends. Popcorn will be served and pool will close once the movie is over. Reservations are not required. Movie to be announced and suggestions are welcome!
3rd-5th Grade Social
Monday, August 27 5pm – 7pm
Let’s enjoy one big last hurrah before school starts! A variety of fun snacks and lemonade will be served while playing FUN games in the pool! All Avalon members and their guests who are rising 3rd grade through rising 5th are welcome. Guest fees waived for this event. Reservations are not required.

Reservations
Invitations will be coming for the adult events. Reservations for the children socials can be made in the pool office beginning June 1, 2015. All checks payable to Avalon Recreation Association. Cash will be accepted- needs to be clearly marked with name and in an envelope.
