    • Suburban A Team – matches played on Tuesday mornings
    • Suburban B Team – matches played on Wednesday mornings
    • Suburban C Team – matches played on Thursday mornings
    • Singles matches start at 9:30 am with an 8 game pro set. Doubles matches start at 10:30 am with a 10 game pro set

    Suburban Captain Rules

      • Members Priority Policy –  Members always have priority over non-members for league participation. Non-members may be considered if the league has fewer than 15 available member players or if the board grants explicit approval on a case by case basis.
      • Board Approval Process for Non-Members– Requests for non-member participation must be submitted to the board in writing. The board may consider such factors as
        • Temporary absence of members

        • Skill Balance

        • Special Circumstances

        • Board Decisions are final and not subject to appeal. Approvals are valid for one season and must be resubmitted for any subsequent seasons.

      • The 50% Rule – Avalon members should constitute at least half of a Suburban team formed at Avalon.

      • The Captain pays for non-members.  Non-member fees for Suburban League tennis are $40 per season, per player.  It is the captain’s responsibility to inform any non-members about the fees and to collect the money from them. The captain must submit the payment at the beginning of the league play to Avalon Tennis Director (in full, one payment for all the non-members on the roster) via Venmo @Avalon-Tennis or by check to ARA.

      • If a captain doesn’t follow the above rules a new request to form a team can be denied.
